Ste. Michelle Wine Estates – Washington State’s oldest winery – unveiled Two Vines as a stand-alone winery in 2014. The Two Vines designation speaks to their method of vine trellising which positions grape clusters for optimum sun exposure, resulting in approachable wines with richer flavor, brighter color and an expression of fruit that’s perfect for everyday enjoyment. Eastern Washington experiences less precipitation due to the surrounding Cascade mountain range. The lower temperatures delay ripening and help to retain fresh fruit aromatics and mouthwatering acidity. Two Vines Merlot is plush and balanced, showcasing aromas of cola, cream soda and caramel leading into expressions of vanilla, strawberry jam and subtle cocoa.
